DEFENDERS Awards

In the Defenders level (Level 4; recommended for 5th- & 6th-graders), up to four patches may be earned per theme. Awards for this level are based upon which scenario you choose to use. (Please refer to the suggested award scenarios chart for specifics of the scenario you have selected.)

Awards 2 & 3 (a sword and a shield for Defenders) are color-coded to match the area in the book where the child is studying. The 12 doctrinal themes are broken down into four main areas, color-coded in gold, green, red, and blue. The background color of the patch to be earned matches the color of the general area of that theme. For example, the Defender who earns Awards 2 & 3 for the first theme, "God's Word – The Bible," would receive sword and shield patches with a gold background.

Award 4:

Award 4 is the special cut-out completion patch. This patch is applied to the back of the standard.

Bonus Award: This award is a black patch with the Kids 4 Truth insignia in gold.
